It is the policy of the Frank M. Silvia School that all students in Kindergarten to grade 5 will wear School Spiritwear. School Spiritwear is limited to the required clothing, as adopted by the Fall River School Committee in 2009.
Parental Responsibility
It is the responsibility of parents/guardians of students in Kindergarten through grade 5th grade at the Frank M. Silvia School to ensure that their child(ren) dress in accordance with the School Spiritwear. This will ensure a conducive learning environment for all students as well as discourage competition of various styles and brands. Uniformity for all students will cause less distractions, keep a focus on learning, and establish a safe environment at the Silvia School.

• All students receive highly qualified focused instruction targeted to their learning needs.
• Student progress is monitored by formative and summative assessments and by school, district, and state benchmarks.
• All stakeholders promote a culture in which they believe in students' capacity to succeed through positive reinforcement for effort, achievement and behavior.
